Joshua Gist, Account Book, 1774-1823
*Lt. Col. Joshua Gist kept militia records related to his service as the commanding officer of the 20th Regiment, Maryland Militia, 1794-1796 in a general ledger.   He recorded orders, rosters of the various companies and battalions, lists of drafted men and their substitutes, conscientious men, and lists of men fined for failure to appear at periodic musters.
