The Carroll News was established at Union Bridge with the first issue appearing May 20, 1886 by Edward Reisler, editor and publisher. J. Harry Dreschler purchased interests and took charge September 11, 1897 with H.S. Cowley, assistant editor. The paper was published until the last of October 1898, when it was sold to the American Type Foundry, Baltimore, MD. |
