Historical photographs capture the scenes of our past.  The images in this series provide a visual introduction to Carroll County's agricultural, commercial, community and religious heritage.  Development and modern improvements have greatly changed Carroll's landscape.  Historic photographs can be a reminder of our heritage.

The photographic prints in this series were selected from the thousands of historical images owned by the HSCC.  Local citizens contributed most of the images in the collection in order to preserve a visual record of our past. To learn more about these photographs, click on the images below.

In 1999, HSCC introduced Series 1 of Images of the Past which featured images of Westminster, Maryland.  Now, HSCC is pleased to introduce Series 2, featuring images of transportation in Carroll County.

Each print is 8" x 10", matted to 11" x 14" and ready for framing. Images of the Past are printed on fiber-based photographic paper for long print life.  Cost is $28.00 per print for HSCC members; $35.00 for non-members. Or, buy the complete set for only $135.00 for HSCC members; $160.00 for non-members.
